Barrel Aged Advent Calendar Day #5 Bourbon and light chocolate notes in the aroma. Taste has bourbon, oak, chocolate and some vanilla notes that show up in the finish. Oak and bourbon linger in the aftertaste. The body is medium+, almost medium-full with a medium-ish amount of carbonation. Less carbonation would be beneficial. A little bit more balance would also help. It's quite boozy, which distracts from the other flavors and overall experience. 12% abv and drinks like it's upper 15%. Still a very tasty stout and I have no regrets in purchasing it. High 4/5
