This rich dark ruby porter has a smooth fine head and a very chocolatey character. The combination of subtle flavour notes of vanilla, treacle and roast malt give an initial rich sweetness leading to a velvety chocolate finish.

Colour is indeed ruby. Smooth and even velvety mouth feel, subtle rather than dominant flavours, for that it perhaps, on one hand, feel a tad lightweight compared with porters on the whole. On the other hand it is very pleasant and quaffable. Could easily repeat process with an immediate second bottle.
