Nice non-alkoholic pale ale. Hazy colour, very nice hops, refreshing crispy

A sample bottle received from Pint Please. Non-alcoholic pale ale with Amarillo and Challenger hops. Best before 06/21. Bottle is a big one, 500ml. Label is informative with malts and hops used, but I don't understand the point of these "special brew premium edition". Makes it look lesser in my eyes, like "premium IPA" are hard avoid. Label looks traditional, don't fancy styles like this too much. Copper/gold see-through color. Avoided sediments by not pouring the whole bottle in. Some foam, like half a finger. Lot of visible carbonation. Scent of dry cardboard and slight gunpowder. Wonder if that Challenger hop generates it. Taste is very bitter, damp and not good. Not sure how it's supposed to be like. Sharp, overly bitter metallic tang at finish. Body is dry, light and remotely full, but taste is quite appaling so I cannot really focus it. One sip was enough, but took a second one to clarify the body. Avoid at least this batch. Can't be in proper condition.

Saatu Pintin äijiltä. Kai tämä on pakko ainakin maistaa. En ole alkoholittomia oluita ostanut koskaan, enkä usko että tulen ostamaan. Juon vichya vaikka mielummin. Nyt tämän otin testiin ruoan kanssa. Ei. Saippuaista kitkerää menoa tuoksussa ja maussa. Villasukkaa ja ylikäynyttä sitruunaa. En tajua mikä näissä ihmisiä viehättää. Kaiken lisäksi sakkaa lasin pohjalla. Ei kiitos. Vettä hain ruokajuomaksi.

Makoisa alkoholiton.

Beer and bread! That’s what I’m talking about. This Main Sail is actually a quite good lunch beer. It tastes like beer with some bitternes. Quite fresh feeling with all the bubbles etc. I really like the beer labels of the brewery. Looks a bit premium. Maybe the bottle size is bit on the larger side for non-alcohol beer? I’d prefer 0,33l. I don’t know why! Maybe I’m not that thirsty. 😄 This is a first 500ml non-alcohol bottle I’ve seen I think.

Nykyään on saatavilla ihan hyviäkin alkoholittomia oluita, mutta tämä ei ole yksi niistä. Maku on tosi kitkerä ja jotenkin väljähtäneen makuinen. Tätä ajattelisi ennen pullon aukaisua mukavana janojuomana, mutta 0,5l tätä on jo melkoinen suoritus. Etiketti jatkaa panimon valittua linjaa.

Hieman samea tummempi ruskea. Kevyesti sitruksinen mallas tuoksussa. Törkeän kuivankatkera aalto iskee alusta alkaen päälle ja jatkuu ohuena ja vailla kummempaa runkoa vetisen katkerana tuntemuksena loppuun saakka. Koitan keksiä tästä jotain hyvää sanottavaa, mutta kun pullokin oli melkolailla tasaharmaa (musta-valkoinen), niin eipä juuri mitään positiivista löydy. Itse en tätä ottaisi edes saunaan, kun pitäisi päälle ajaa. Mielummin sitten ihan vaan hanavettä. Porukka aina jaksaa vääntää siitä kuinka ei muka ole mahdollista arvioida puolueettomasti ilmaisia oluita. Noh, tämä Pintiltä saatu (kiitos kokemuksesta!) tekele nyt sattui saamaan matalimmat pisteet mitä olen ikinä Pintissä antanut. Tämä vaan oli omaan makuuni sopimaton tuote.

Second to last from Pint Please and Dungarvan brewing company. Thanks! 0,5l bottle from pint. Again the bottle has _a lot_ of sediment. Poured very carefully and left some beer in the bottle. Label follows the same design as the rest of the bunch. Probably will not pop from the shelves. Clear light copper beer with pretty much no foam. Sweet and citrus hoppy scent. High carbonation. Mouthfeel is thin and watery, no surprise there. Soapy lemon and bitter dry grapefruit on first taste. Dry grass, hay and more soap. Floral note on the background. Some powdered hop texture which is nice. Dry and pretty harsh grassy bitterness in the end, with a tiny touch of lemon. Damn that soap! Without it this would be pretty tasty non alcoholic pale ale. But because I hate soapy taste, this will not find its way to my basket.

Poured carefully yet...have no idea if it was me or the beer. Tasted after the sediment settled but...nope.

Seuraava olut maistoon tältä panimolta ja tällä kertaa holittomana. Kiva että näitä alkaa näkymään markkinoilla enemmänkin. Lasiin kaatuu kuparin värinen olut nopeasti katoavalla vaahdolla. Tuoksupuolelta löytyy maltaista karamellisuutta ja kypsiä hedelmiä. Kaikenkaikkiaan aika makea tuoksu. Maku on erittäin kitkerä ja maistuu liian pitkään haudutetulta mustalta teeltä. Löytyy sieltä mallasta ja hedelmiäkin. Jälkivedosta löytyy myös vähän ikävä metallinen sivumaku. Ei nyt mennyt ihan kärkeen maistetuista alkoholittomista. Kyllä tämän loppuun juo mutta luultavasti jäisi jatkossa kaupassa hyllyyn.
