Higher Ground has been aged in Single Malt Whisky barrels, which have lain undisturbed in the Highlands of Scotland for 18 years, slowly developing rich complex flavours which have been imparted to the beer.

Innis & Gunn, les rois du vieillissement en fûts. Pour celle-là, des fûts de single malts 18ans d'âge ont donné cette super bière.
Au nez, on sent les fruits noirs, quelque chose d'herbacé et le cuir. En bouche, c'est gourmand, on a de la vanille, le sucré et l'épaisseur de la mélasse. Ensuite, une note finale un peu fumé par-dessus.
Ça fait un tout complexe mais harmonieux.
Belle bière des Scotland à découvrir en prenant son temps.
