DDH Hazy IPA, Finland
3.8
Hazy, deep amber beer with decent, settling carbonation unlocks a clean white, velvety head that reaches one finger. The foamy cap dissolves slowly to a moderate level but retains until the drink is finished. The retreating foam paints the glass with multiple splashes. The fragrance offers relatively hefty DDH and a distinct hint of oat flakes. The remote biscuity aroma seduces the nostrils. The palate puts forward an intriguing cocktail of mouth-drying DDH, soft oat flakes, dry grass and a touch of Digestives. The body is light to light-medium. The beer finishes with grassy DDH, strong malt, crackers and a bit of oat biscuit. The finish lasts long. The mouthfeel is dry, crisp and relatively mouth-drying. It's simultaneously also surprisingly soft and distantly lip-glueing. Very gluggable and not extremely challenging.
