I’ve got a taste for the Barleywine so it’s another from the stash and again, no idea how long I’ve had this 😂 Intense caramel and other malty nuances such and fresh bread and biscuit come through. Caramel certainly dominates. Full bodied and well rounded in the mouth, the low carbonation compliments the style perfectly. Plums and hints of citrus round the beer off nicely. Plenty of sediment and chunks clearly visible, but that don’t bother me. I our hard in order to get everything in the glass 👍

Aikaisemmin nautittu JW Leesin 2019-versio oli pettymys. Kuten myös oikeastaan vuosikerta 2011. Nyt lasissa heidän BW, joka on pullotettu vuoden 2017 lopulla. Olisko tämä sitten parempi? Nyt siis hieman yli kolmen vuoden ikäinen. Tumman kultainen barley niukalla vaahtoreunuksella. Tuoksu makea, runsas ja kokonaisuus selvästi parempi kuin 2019-versiossa oli. Maku on ihanan voimakas, mutta samalla pehmeä ja miellyttävä. Juuri sellainen kuin pitääkin. Nam. Ihan toista maata kuin 2019-vuoden versio.
