This Brown Ale is brewed with a heaping amount of Cubano-style espresso beans, vanilla and cacao nibs. Rich coffee notes dominate this beer, while it finds balance with a smooth malty backbone. Pairs well with arroz con leche and, of course, a delicate shot of Cubano espresso.
Brewed with a proprietary blend of coffee beans produced in tandem with Buddy Brew Coffee in Tampa, Florida.

Tummanruskea olut runsaalla beigellä vaahdolla.
Tuoksussa on kahvia, pähkinää ja mallasta.
Olut on kevyt, hapokas, makea ja pehmeä.
Mausta löytyy kahvia, paahdetta, suklaata, karamellia, pähkinää ja mallasta.
Paljon löytyi makua näin mataliin prosentteihin. Kova panimo ja hieno brown ale.

Pour was disappointing, lots of foam at the start which all disappeared quite quickly. Scent is full on authentic roasted coffee, with a tiny hint of burnt toffee. Mouthfeel is disappointingly thin, it doesn't pair well with the big flavours. Taste is all malt, no hops. It starts very nice with the strong coffee onset, but the longer it is exposed to the air, it thins out. The finish tastes washed out, like overly watered coffee.
*edit* marking this down a little as it had an unpleasant after effect.

Dark coffee-brown color. Airy, quite large foam with good retention. Nice laces all around: 4,5/5
Aromas of medium roasted coffee, chocolate, and nutty toastiness. I don't know, I was hoping for something more intense. The coffee is really classy pleasant though: 4/5
Mouthfeel is very nice: starts with a mouth covering sensation, even though the body is the only medium. Beautiful, balancing bitterness. Lactose adds some roundness into the beer. Nice depth: 4,5/5
Taste of medium roasted coffee, chocolate, sweetness, nutty, toasty, smooth malty flavor. The aftertaste is on the dry side, quite crisp: 12,5/15
These Brown Ales are soooooo good from Cigar City. Nice depth, always good flavors. But really the sad thing is: these are just Brown Ales. Hard to make this style mindblowing or particularly tasteful. Nevertheless, I've never disappointed by Cigar City's BA's. Probably the best brewery to brew this style: 17/20
