I’ve struggled with Märzens in the past so to actually like this one which is Swedish and not German is a surprise. Bitterness at the end and the crisp carbonation reminded of this was a lager, but it was the overwhelming malt that dominated. Layers of biscuit and bread, hints of caramel and a heady alcohol affect made sure this was the last beer of the night.

Inget blask, det kanske stämde på detta hyffsade mellanmörka öl, men det skummade knappt, luktade lite unket och smakade som en blandning av en Dunkel och ett Bocköl.
