Ulkonäkö ja tuoksu antaa jo ennettä mausta. Marjanen ja vadelmainen maku on odotetusti hapan ja hieman kirpsakka. Ensipuraisu ei sytyttänyt, mutta maistelun edetessä tästä kuoriutui varsin mukava nautinto.
