Cthulhu etiketissä ja hintaa noin 2e. Ostan. Ihan ok paahtunut portteri. Balttityyliä en löydä. Mielellään tätä juo ja tähän hintaan jos vielä joskus saa niin todellakin ostan, mutta en jää erityisemmin kaipaamaan.

Puolalaisten hienoin keksintö eli Baltic Porter Day on täällä taas. Täydellinen tekosyy siis kaataa lasiin tätä mustaa kultaa. Vaahtopäätä ei syntynyt, vaikka kuinka yritti kaataa aggressiivisesti. Liian kylmää vielä kenties. Paahteista mallasta. Lakritsinen twisti maussa. Toffeeta. Täyteläinen. Tummaa hedelmäisyyttä. Lämmetessä maku avautuu vielä lisää ja paranee entisestään.

Tummaakin tummempaa kampetta. Kermainen suu tuntuma, mutta kevyt. Paahteista kahvia ja useampia suklaan vivahteita. Aavistus mallasta.

Tämä oli jäänyt jostain syystä pariksi vuodeksi kellariin, tuskin haittaa menoa. Paahteinen, tummasuklainen ja kahvinen tuoksu. Maku tarjoaa enemmän tummapaahtoista, lähes espressomaista kahvia. Tämän lisäksi myös tummaa suklaata ja paahteisuutta. Todella pehmeä ja kevytkermainen suutuntuma keskivahvalla rungolla. Todella hyvä tyylilajinsa edustaja.

Suklainen porter. Tukeva ja paahteinen, maistuu oikein kivasti ruokajuomaksi.

Day #14 of Advent Calendar. Opaque black beer unleashes a fawn silky head that swells marginally just to cover the surface. Retention falls down rushedly and leaves a faint legacy of gossamer lace ring. The nose is a bit confused because of the subdued scent: I'm getting thin amendments of roasted malt, tar, licorice and Bourbon. The latter is particularly interesting since the beer obviously isn't barrel aged. Well, whatever. On top of those, I pick truly distant syrup and dried plum. Basically nicely versatile, if the components just were more pronounced... 🖤 The taste profile makes up a good part of the missed enjoyment: massive licorice and a drop of tar constitute the base of the package. The intense raw Bourbon is something that I could expect since it was also present in the fragrance but it's something that shouldn't actually be there — if I've understood it right. I can still identify dried plum, syrup and soaked oak barrel that try to slam the tastebuds but the hit is somewhat lukewarm. Gives a bit of layers, not exceptionally though, but I wouldn't mind a deeper overall flavor intensity. The body is light to light-medium. At 10 %, it's clearly substandard. The finish turns roasted, even slightly charred, with hefty licorice, Bourbon barrel and tar still lingering on various sides of the tongue. The aftertaste watches amime and gets absorbed in the story as never before. The mouthfeel is somewhat light, roasty, relatively medicinal, intense and barrel aged. It's also tangy, modestly dry but simultaneously lip-glueing. Layeredness is observable albeit not particularly prominent. Improves substantially when warmer. 🖤🖤
