Looking forward to this one! Can. Best before: 4.12.2019 Temperature: +13 degrees Pours thick and almost black. Light brown head at first looks thick and creamy but then reforms to a airy, even bit soapy looking. Average retention: 4/5 Wow, the amount of chocolate and fudge/candy like aromas in this one is second to none! And alcohol gives a nice elegant touch to this so you remember you are drinking beer not melted fudge. Really solid and strong: 4,75/5 Full body with a little darker, roasty malt sting. Alcohol is evident but pleasant: 4,25/5 Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate and fudge. Hint of sweetness and mild malty and roasted flavours. Nice balance, yet powefull. Alcohol is there only to give you an elegant finish. This is awesome: 13,25/15 This is a new brewery for me and what a first meeting! Just brilliant. Might not be the most powerfull pastry stout in terms of flavours (even though this is still very strong!) but unlike many other pastrys, this beer got the body, it got the beer behind all the chocolate-fudge-vanilla aromas. This beer does so many thing better than lets say Omnipollo, which beers are often too light/oily in mouthfeel or other Pastry stouts that tends to be overly sweet. Huge chocolate fudge in the aroma. Taste has the same thing. Huge fudgy chocolate along with the roasted malts coming through. I guess there's lactose and vanilla in this too, but...actually I'm getting some vanilla. No noticeable lactose, but that's fine. What I'm sipping on is incredibly tasty. Full body with an appropriately lower carbonation. Dessert in a glass. I will be grabbing a 4-pack of this one. Delicious. 4.5/5 Update: This one flew off the shelves in my area. Nowhere to be found. At least I have one can left!
