Pineapple Gose, Romania
3.6
Semiclear, pale gold beer with decent, hasty carbonation flows from tap. A velvety, off-white head forms on the surface, reaches half a finger's height and settles soon down to a frazil-icy lacing. The withdrawing foam leaves thick marks on the glass. The fragrance puts forward mild pineapple and relatively sour lemon pulp. The taste receptors like the sour lemon pulp, pineapple and a suggestion of stale jackfruit. A distinct salty touch can be experienced. The light-bodied beer finishes with extraordinarily sour lemon pulp, a good amount of lemon peel, a subtle injection of pineapple and, again, a pinch of skunky jackfruit. The aftertaste lingers on the sides of the tongue for a medium to long time. The mouthfeel is thin, very summery, juicy. It's also really tart, somewhat mouth-drying and nicely puckering. Moreover, it occasionally portrays distantly stale characteristics.
