Maple syrup and bacon in the aroma. No hops detected in the nose. Taste has maple syrup, caramelized sugar, smoky bacon in the mid-palate and a moderate hop bitterness in the finish. I really wish the bacon was as prominent in the taste as it was in the aroma. Definitely an interesting mix of flavors in this one. Stickiness on the lips as I drink this. I typically try the IPAs from Decadent Ales because they're tasty, but they're pricey, so it's usually one and done. It's tasty, but definitely not my favorite from them. 3.75/5
