Impenetrable, dark brown beer with astonishingly vivid, relatively long-lived carbonation forms a creamy, two-finger, dense mousse-like head. The foamy mattress loses gradually air to an adorable, a few millimeters thick layer of long retention. The retreating foam pulls thick creamy curtains on the glass.
The fragrance releases a bit of coffee into the nostrils, otherwise the olfactory supply is numb.
The tongue experiences a rather thin gustatory miracle which is no surprise as the ABV amounts to mere 4.5 %. A faint coffeeish hint accompanies the light-roasted malt and a moderate sooty suggestion.
The body is light. The beer ends with somewhat roasted malt, a pinch of hovering soot, faint rye bread and a small dollop of overstayed black coffee. The aftertaste keeps the tastebuds active for long.
The mouthfeel is light, a bit burned and slightly charred. It's also rather dry and a little bit mouth-drying.
