Went out to dinner so throwing out the light stuff now. This has a chocolate/cocoa taste with just a hint of toasted coconut. A touch of char. Sounds good but it is a little off. Too much chocolate that just overwhelmed this one.

Local beer shop had this beer from Hopewell Junction New York. I love milk stouts so I thought I would give it a try.
Poured with a dark brown opaque color, lots of effervescence. The head dissipates and comes back quickly. Reminds me of the carbonation of a cola. Fast and vigorous effervescence. Aroma has some chocolate and boozy. Mildly creamy texture, not as heavy as I would expect from a milk stout. The effervescence is still evident during the tasting. Light coconut cream combines with a moderate milk chocolate as the body of the flavor. Finish exposes a background bitterness with a dissipating milk chocolate. No alcohol detected from first to last.
Overall, I think this beer missed the mark. Did not get the toasted coconut nor the oatmeal that should have produced a lot of creaminess. The vigorous and energetic effervescence reminded me of a cola, fast and furious. As the 16 oz can that I was sipping on receded, the beer seemed to grow flat. It actually tasted nice, but missed on so many levels.
