Semicloudy, dirty amber beer. The carbonation rocks aggressively! The resulting foam shoots massively into the space, easily exceeding a whole palm. Nevertheless, the rocketing froth falls back to the earth as quickly as it has reached the ultimate altitude. Soft wheat hovers in the air. Toast, a bit of banana and bitter melon peel can be written on the list, as well. The taste profile gives more banana, relatively copious wheat malt, biscuit, toast, cantaloupe and cantaloupe peel. Soft, somewhat sweet-leaning. Interestingly, the palate improved substantially when I "forgot" the beer on the table for a good while. The body is medium-full. It may be due to the lively frothiness, but still, I would say it's very nice for the ABV. The end tweaks slightly more bitter but remains, by and large, similar to the first encounter. The impression is medium-full, soft, smooth, effervescent and savory. Matched neatly with my fish meal. A classical piece.

Das Weissbier aus dem Hause Augustiner ist gut, allerdings wenig markant. Von Augustiner hätte ich ein etwas urigeres erwartet, dieses Weissbier ist aber leider etwas wässrig und mild um oben angreifen zu können. Trotzdem ein gut gelungenes Zusammenspiel und gerade die ausgeprägte Nelke sowie eine dezente Anis-Würze sind positiv zu erwähnen. Aber ja, alles in allem finden sich zig solcher Weissbiere die sich wirklich kaum voneinander abheben...
