Espresso Totalitarian
10.6% Imperial Stout
With a beer as bold and robust as Stone Totalitarian Imperial Russian Stout, it’s not easy to build another level of flavor. That’s why we use hundreds of pounds of espresso beans to give Stone Espresso Totalitarian Imperial Russian Stout an added layer of rich complexity. The coffee flavors meld beautifully with the roasty bitterness of the dark malts for an intense complement of flavors, while staying true to the essence of this classic, historical style.

Coffee, chocolate, hoppiness and roastiness in the aroma. Taste has coffee, slight chocolate, so roasted malts mid-palate with some hop bitterness towards the back end. I don't remember how I felt about the regular version of this, but I like the addition of coffee. I like it. 3.75/5

Very high, very thick head that lasts. Head is deep tanning cover. Totally opaque in color. Definite espresso aroma. Taste, all I can say is wow! Strong espresso coffee chocolate flavor. The alcohol comes through strong as well. Finish is espresso bitter with the alcohol is still lingering. Pure heaven. Really!
