Side by side review with the regular version. Aroma: Bourbon, coffee, sweet chocolate, vanilla and oak. Taste: Coffee, whiskey, dark chocolate (unlike what the aroma indicated, but not quite as bitter as in the regular version), vanilla, oak and roasted malts (more towards the back end). Coffee, whiskey and chocolate linger in the aftertaste. Delicious! Body and carbonation: Medium+ body with an appropriately lower carbonation. Overall: Incredibly tasty coffee stout. The whiskey is exactly what was needed to take a very good coffee stout to the next level. More body would help this move up to potentially world class, but in my opinion, this is a fantastic, outstanding stout and I'd grab this any chance I can. 4.5/5
