As evening draws the light from the the sky and the temperature with it bathing my skin in exquisitely comfortable coolness, my internal clock chimes precisely beer o'clock.
Rich golden nectar slides down the sides of my glass fizzing with carbonation as it occupies the void within.
A tight bright head forms momentarily then dissaptes much like the hard edges of a long work day.
A rich grainy malt with hints of toasted cracker allows a nice bittering hops, reminiscent of mildly tart white grape, to ride comfortably along side it creating a pleasing and promising aroma.
The tounge is initially treated to a lush slightly sweet grainy malt, with a very gentle bread crust about it. In turn, the hops take up their position on the tastebuds, I interpret it as a bit chardonnay like, a bitterness begins to creep in and builds slowly to a respectable crescendo that coats the mouth and presents as faintly resinous. An interesting hops experience in a tasty pilsner.
It has a little more body than I prefer in a pilsner and the flavours a little less precise but over all I like it.
A fine way to end the day.
