The whole day snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef. Awesome! πŸ πŸ¦ˆπŸ¦€πŸŸπŸ’ This brewery has one of the most exotic names I've ever encountered with. The brewery's beers are also really difficult to find: they currently supply only to a few bars in Cairns. This backpackers' hostel has the best selection (4 beers and 1 cider which was finished) in town. The bar is in its backyard, if you plan to visit the watering hole, ask the reception, they'll guide you to the right place. Ok, the beer. Clear, amber beer with abundant, sustained carbonation builds a one-finger snow-white, tightly packed head that adorns the top for significantly long. The scent is not particularly tropical but rather that of a nice, standard IPA. I get a bit of grapefruit, some lemon peel and a pinch of spruce tips. The tongue receives strong-hopped malt, bags of lemon peel, a tad grapefruit and a good amount of spruce needles. I also find a drop of resin among the gustatory elements. The body is light-medium to medium. The beer finishes with rather crisp piney hops, a good amount of strong malt, a tad bread and bittersour citruses, especially lemon peel, a bit of lemon zest and recognizeable grapefruit. The aftertaste rolls on tongue for some time. The mouthfeel is crisp, a bit sharp, somewhat coniferous and medium-strong. Good old style!
