Hunting the fields during hop harvest, we were stopped in our tracks by the otherworldly lemon notes of a hop called Lemondrop. We just had to build a beer around it. Our HopCyclone circulates Lemondrop’s citrusy oils throughout Golden Thing, and dry-hopping with Lemondrop and Centennial leads to juicy layers of fresh lemonade, pinesap, and sweet citrus.

A really nice unique DIPA. The addition of lemondrop hops give a different citrus note than is usual for a DIPA. The aromas are a mixture of lemonade and also an interesting resin-like malt aroma. I believe this is due to the Vienna, pilsener and wheat malts used, as I don’t think these are standard for an IPA.
