Hazy red and brown Sour Red Ale. Funky aroma of sour cherries, Port Wine, oak, plums and mellow vinegar. Taste is of sour cherries, vinous oak barrels, red berries, caramel malts and Port Wine. Vanilla and spices lingering around with bubblegum and light to medium sweetness. Some funk and drying finish. Started out nicely but turns stuffy and restrained quite quickly. Seems clear that this has passed it’s best before date, although I could not find it from the label. Think this could get much higher rating when in proper form.

Hmmm kaataessa näyttää vähän väljähtäneeltä. Tuoksussa happamuutta, happamia, marjoja, kirsikkaa, jälkiruokaviiniä ja karkkia. Suutuntuma matala hiilihappoinen, jopa hieman väljähtynyt. Ei kuitenkaan missään nimessä hiilihapoton. Maussa kirsikkaa, happamuutta, kirpeyttä, jälkiruokaviiniä, tammea, marjaisuutta, makeutta ja hilloa. Erinomainen makupaletti! Jälkimaku hieman tamminen ja marjaisa. Ei missään nimessä kokonaan väljähtynyt. Välillä sen huomaa, välillä taas ei häiritse. Makupaletti kuitenkin sen verran jämäkkä ja runsas, että pelastaa suutuntumaa.
