Day 2 of the 11 Days of Milkshake Stouts. Another one that was also in last year's pack. Light bourbon in the aroma. Taste has a pretty nice, flavorful bourbon to start. Following this, I'm getting the lactose. Just as tasty as I remember it being last year and definitely one of the standouts last time around. 4/5

7th day of the 11 days of Milkshake Stouts. This one is new to me. I've had their bourbon barrel aged imperial milkshake stout before, and while this is also bourbon barrel aged, it's a different beer. That one was at 13% abv while this one is half of that at 6.5% abv. Aroma has bourbon. Not much else is standing out. Taste has bourbon, I suppose. Comes off more like regular whiskey instead of bourbon, but either way it's there. Beyond that, I'm getting some chocolate and a subtle lactose. Some oak in the mid-palate and towards the back end. The bourbon kind of masks the other flavors a bit, but I kinda like where this one is going. I'd buy this as a standalone offering. Medium body with a medium-low carbonation. This is up there with the best of the pack. 4/5
