Muddy, very dark brown beer with ruby tint and modest, short carbonation creates a half-a-finger, yellow, cotton head that soon descends to a neat lace ring on top. The scent allows one to experience a dollop of syrup, some Christmas bread and an injection of raisin. The tastebuds sense loads of sweet syrup, some raisin, a tad Christmas bread, biscuit dough as well as cane sugar. The body is medium. The beer ends with hefty syrupy bread, medium-brown malt, a little injection of raisin, a bit of hops and a grainy nuance. The aftertaste has medium to long duration. The mouthfeel is sappy relatively strong, a bit warming and slightly tangy.
