This beer was once produced at the Abbey of Paix Dieu, where the lunar calendar played a central role. In keeping with the spirit of the Abbey, the Brasserie maintains the tradition of brewing only once a month, during the Full Moon.
The result?
A triple 10% brew which is smooth and full of character; a craft beer in the tradition of Belgian abbey beers. A symbol on each bottle will help you decipher under which moon your beer was brewed. This way you can compare the different brews you enjoy.

Back to normal. Advent Calendar #️⃣1️⃣1️⃣ portrays semihazy amber. Quite copious carbonation. A shiny white, fluffy head shoots three fingers high and descends gradually to a thin haze. Something strange floating in the beer, tiny particles, loads of them. Yeast, I guess.
The beer emits quite predictable nuances: sweet-leaning malt, biscuit, clove and Belgian yeast. My nose is reminded of the presence of alcohol.
The malty side is sweeter on the tongue than what the scent suggests. Alcohol is clearly identifiable in the background, warming. The auxiliary components include biscuit, waffle, mandarin peel, resin, dried apricot and a pinch of grass.
The body is medium-full. The end is, surprisingly, easier than the actual taste. Alcohol disappears in the finish, so do the resinous and grassy flavors.
The mouthfeel is medium-full, soft, smooth, slightly resinous, alcoholic and warming. This is kind of a classic but doesn't impress me much.
