Murky, black beer with meager, short-lived carbonation unlocks a light fawn, creamy head that reaches one finger, clings tightly onto the wall of the glass with downpouring traces, and dissolves over time down to a frazil-icy lacing wafting on the surface for a substantially long time. The nose gets strong bitter mocha and a tad salty licorice. Dark malt whirls neatly with aniseed, a tiny drop of tar and a smoky suggestion. The palate is astonishingly powerful: it puts forward colossal salty licorice, accompanied by significantly weaker mocha and very bitter raw chocolate. A smoky whisper follows in the immediate proximity, as does the remote tarry hint. Nice! The body is medium. The beer finishes with hefty bitter salty licorice and a good dollop of overstayed black coffee, seasoned with tarry smoky nuance that disappears quickly among the other, more prominent elements. The aftertaste has a reasonably lengthy duration. Now, this is yummy! The mouthfeel is strong, a bit lip-glueing, medium-dry and a bit oily. It's also medium-full, slightly medicinal as well as somewhat slick.
