Yli 7kk tölkityksestä. Hieman pinkihtävä vaalea vaahto. Tumman punertavan mehuinen. ---------- Mukavan hapanta marjamehua. Prosenttejaan isomman tuntuinen. Laadukas gose-style ale. Ei mitää moitteita.

Ho ho ho!  ❄️🎅  December is here: time to open my self-made Advent calendar's door #1. What on Earth might there come out? Who could have guessed: an elderberry gose! What a surprise indeed!  😂 The beer pours entirely murky, deep dark redcurrant-nectar-hued with almost uncontrollable, rich, relatively short-lived carbonation. The surface is decorated by pale salmon-pink head that portrays porous, soapy texture and exceeds the whole palm in tallness. The frothy explosion settles fairly rapidly to a barely visible chain of minuscule bubbles going around the surface and eventually flat still. The nose receives a sour berry nuance. My challenge now is that I have no experience of elderberry which this drink happens to be made of. Elderflower I know but it's totally different from this. So, what I can say I find include hefty sour raspberry mash, recognizeable chokeberry juice (we have chokeberry bushes in out summer cottage yard in the countryside), a little bit of rowanberry and a nice injection of frozen strawberry. A small dollop of salt-seasoned lemon juice lingers additionally to the nostrils. The tongue experiences massively sour, truly puckering package of various red to dark purple berries. Raspberry and chokeberry are prominent, accompanied by a tad cranberry and a tiny amount of redcurrant. Frozen strawberry is significantly faint but detectable. The berry-rich gustatory punch is seasoned with a tiny spoonful of salt, a bit of sour lemon zest and some grated lemon peel. The body is light-medium. The beer ends with relatively sour raspberry mash that gains additional impetus from redcurrant nectar, crushed chokeberry, a little bit of cranberry and a drop of strawberry juice. Saltiness is easily identifiable and emphasizes the tart berry elements as well as lemon pulp appealingly. The aftertaste rolls on tongue over short to medium duration. The mouthfeel is light, nicely natural, extraordinarily tart and puckering. It makes me want to grind my teeth. The mouthfeel is also gardeny and quite mouth-drying.
