I'm really excited about this beer! Logsdon Farmhouse belongs to one of my favorite breweries, although I've only tasted a couple of beers from them before this one. Best before: 5/2022 (I've read that this might have a 5-year self-life, so this would be almost 4 years old if the info is correct) Temperature: +10 C Nice, Yellow-Orange color. Cloudy beer. The foam is about one finger tall, and quickly shrinks but then a thin layer remains forever. Always good to see Wild and Sour beers to maintain their foam at least sometime: 4,25/5 The aroma... Is simply amazing! Very strong, barnyard funky notes with a sour apple background. The aroma also has somewhat vinegar-ish undertones, but that just feels proper, plus it adds more complexity. So nice. Not overly sour and certainly not a boring one by any means. At the very end, when the beer is warm, there's an interesting star anise aroma: 4,75/5 Light bodied with medium-high carbonation. High sourness and the beer finish with a long-lasting sticky tartness. Lovely, if you are into this kind of stuff. I feel the body could just a tad fuller, it would make this even better: 4,25/5 The taste starts with an apple sourness, but before the flavor becomes too sour, a soft barnyard funkiness and even some vanilla (from the barrel aging most likely) mellows down the sourness. In the end, there seems to be fascinating, long-lasting play with tartness and mild overly ripped fruit flavors. The flavor just stays on for so long after every sip, it's simply amazing: 13,25/15 Soooo damn fine Belgian style spontaneously fermented beer. Equally as good - and even better- as some authentic Belgian Lambics. I'm going to enjoy every drop of this beauty❤️❤️❤️. If this would have just a tiny bit more body, then this would be close to perfection: 17/20 =43,5/50
