Nice foamy body

I've heard that today is international stout day and I have been really craving some stout lately, so I'm trying do my part. It pours a rich deep red that appears almost black but let's a fair bit of light through from the flashlight test. An excellent nitro head is built of thick mousse like foam that holds a fair bit of aroma in the glass. The aroma I do get is very oaky and wood like. There is some coffee and roast barley too. Quite light and and a little thin on the palette, the flavor is a bit woody and of weak roast barley. After having been exposed to many deep, rich thick stouts this seems lacking. Not a big fan.
