Sen katkeropitoisuus on korkeampi, ja sen valmistuksessa on käytetty kahta eri aromihumalalajiketta: keiton loppuvaiheen perinteisen Saazer-humaloinnin täydentää englantilaisella East Kent Golding -aromihumalalla tehty jälkihumalointi.

Karhu ist eine traditionelle finnische Biermarke (Sinebrychoff, Teil der Carlsberg-Gruppe) und steht überwiegend für klassisches Lagerbier. Der Name bedeutet „Bär“ auf Finnisch – und genauso rustikal wird es von vielen Biertrinkern erlebt
