Murky, medium-black beer with meager, short-lived carbonation creates a fawn, frothy, sponge-like head that climbs taller than three fingers. The foamy pillow shrinks gradually down to a thin lacing that wafts on the surface throughout the entire drink. The fragrance is massively chocolatey, portraying especially dark chocolate and a good bite of milk chocolate. A small bag of cocoa nibs, a tad licorice and some distinct lactose emanate also to the nostrils -- the beer contains no lactose. The taste is soft and smooth, on one hand, and slightly roasty and a bit dry, on the other. The chocolate is still dark but increasingly also bitter raw chocolate. Raw cocoa powder, decent licorice and a somewhat dry roasty nuance further season the palate. The body is medium-full. The beer ends with colossal raw chocolate and raw cocoa nibs, followed by a distant note of black coffee and a bit of licorice. The aftertaste is, generally speaking, medium-dry and slightly roasty and stays on the tastebuds for a substantially long time. The mouthfeel is roasty, a bit dry and relatively slick. It's also remotely oily, yet also light, as well as lip-glueing.
