Val De Rance ToutDoux Cidre Doux, France
4.3
Enjoyed straight from the can, hence no assessment of the appearance. The nose gets hefty semisour apple nectar, just like what you could expect in Provence. The tongue receives pretty much the same nuance: very nice, massive fresh-pressed apple nectar that tastes something between semisour and semisweet. The finish follows along the same lines and vanishes hastily from the mouth. The mouthfeel is extraordinarily natural, slightly tart and colossally gardeny. It's also somewhat rustic, a bit husky, even a tad thick, slightly farmhousey and substantially Mediterranean. A very quaffable, low-alcohol cider that is, fortunately, not sweet as the name would suggest.
