So this time something different. This is my homebrewed Red IPA. I always write beer rewies in finnish and not in english and also this is second time I write something about my own beers in here. So please someone comment if I should start posting rewies in english or write more about my homebrewed beers...This is just an idea that came to my mind and desiced to try it now. YLIVARPUNEN ABV: 7,1%| IBU ~80 Malts - Pale ale - Munich light - Wheat -Crystal 300 (EBC) -Crystal 100 (EBC) -Cane sugar -Roasted barley Hops -Mosaic, Engima, Vic secret, Souther passion Yeast -The yeast bay Hazy daze -Godzawa HAY 7 Color is reddish brown, quite cloydy. Head is off-white, dence and last pretty long. Nose is dominated by the Enigma and possibly Southern passion hops with "Pinot gris" and red berries, most notably rasberry. Also some tropical fruit, citrus and little bit caramel malt. Medium body, with medium carbonation. Bitterness is different than what you usally find in high alfa American varieties. Notable, but much more softer and somewhat "heavier" Taste is similar what aroma, also dominated by Engima and Southern passion leaving Vic secret in the shadows. Plus there is some pine taste, that's propably from Vic secret (Mosaic is used for bittering so it doesn't taste) Decent beer but I could not used the original ingredients I wanted because they were out of shop. Original recipe included more Mosaic and other hops to use were Citra, Vic secret and Galaxy. Also I intended to use Bruxellensis trois as the yeast. What I learned from this beer is that especially Engima is really overwhelming hop and should propably used less than other varieties. So as I asked, would you like to see beer rewies in english from now on OR more my homebrewed recipes here? This was totally just something that came to mind and I felt like trying it :D
