La Folie, French for "the folly," is a beer steeped in New Belgium brewing tradition. Our original wood-aged sour spends one to three years acidifying in large French Oak foeders before being blended. La Folie is sharp and sour, full of green apple, cherry, and plum-skin notes. Pouring a deep mahogany, the mouthfeel will get you puckering while the smooth finish will get you smiling. Not a beer for the timid, La Folie is a sour delight that will turn your tongue on its head. Find out why it's considered one of the best sour beers around.

klassinen red sour. Kirsikkaa, omenaa, happoja, tammisuutta, villihiivaa ja hieman tanniinisuutta.
Sopivasti on tasottunut kyllä vuosien aikana.

Le nom est exagéré mais c'est une première pour moi, une sour Brown ale, typiquement acide pour une sour, mais avec de légères notes de chocolat

Only a marketing beer: sounds premium, but taste like a bad aged brown ale. Maybe i will give another try, but first impression was not good.

Tumman rusehtavan punaista olutta. Tuoksu on melko hapan, on tummaa marjaa, tammea, vaniljaa, hieman kirsikkaa sekä tummaa sokerisuutta. Happamuus vetää suuta irvelle.
