Mmmmm Barefoot by Tenby Brewing Company. Ok, so I LOVED the rum porter by Tenby, so I had high hopes for this beer. It’s a Cascade Pale Ale and this does show in the nose. The aroma gives off some vague citrus notes. A little orange, some lemon. The beer has a little spice in the aroma as well. There isn’t much haze to the beer at all but that’s not always a negative. So, the taste gives you that lemon, the orange and the little spice on the back end. To be honest, there wasn’t enough citrus in there for me. It was quite refreshing but I wanted more. I was left a little disappointed. Considering how good the rum porter was, this wasn’t up to the same standard in my eyes. One thing I can compliment, was the bitterness on the back end. It was there in abundance! Overall, an average beer from Tenby, not sure I’ll buy this again.

It pours a light golden colour with a thin white head. Aroma and flavour is of fruit and citrus. A light, refreshing beer.
