Not a fan of stout but this was quite nice the Oates made a difference in dimming down the overpowering taste of the stout and made it taste more like a stronger Guinness decent beer.

Mmmm! Surprisingly sweet and absolutely no alcohol burn. Very smooth too, you can sorta taste the oats and it’s quite plain chocolately. The pilsner malt helps make it quite bright as well, a great pint!

The 9th beer from this month's Beer 52 London Craft Beer box. It pours black with a brown head that disappears quickly. Aroma has slight hint of roasted malts. Flavour has roasted malts, hints of chocolate and brown sugar. A little warming from the strength.

Possibly my favourite beer style. Rich and flavoursome as it should be.
