Named after the year Timothy Taylor started brewing, 1858 is our modern, beefed up take on a brown ale. Stronger brown ales are a growing trend in the US and the brewers wanted to introduce a higher gravity, easier drinker version of this popular style into the UK.

Fine looking brown ale. Great tight head and lovely clear bronze colour. Taste is a bit dark and caramel for me.

Another good beer from Timothy Taylor. Traditional English style Brown Ale with a creamy head. Roasted malt flavours with hints of coffee.
