Maukas, hedelmäinen, melko tuhti humala, muttei lainkaan liian kitkerä.

Kaupungin ääniä Lappeenrannan suunnalta, tyylinä nimihirviö DDH Session VHNEIPA (huh!), lyhyemmin Sessio IPA. Sumea, tumman punaruskea, karamellia ja hedelmää, kiva puraisukin loppusuoralle saatu loihdittua. Hieman tunkkainen kuitenkin vaikka hiivat jätinkin pulloon, outo jopa ”savuiseksi” luonnehdittava virhemaku myös läsnä. Tuju on yksi kotimaan kärkipienpanimoista (ainakin modernissa IPA-genressä), joten laitetaan nuo pikkuvirheet hieman parhaat päivänsä nähneen erän piikkiin.

Dirty, rusty light brown beer with vivid, sustained carbonation builds a glowingly white, silky head that rises up to the level of two fingers. The withdrawing foam clings tightly to the wall of the glass, leaving thick creamy coverings on the glass. Over time, the head settles down to a relatively pretentious whipped-creamy layer on the surface. The fragrance is exceptionally delicious like light-sour fruit milkshake: indeed, a recognizeable aroma of ice cream is the first element to emanate to the nostrils. Very soft grapefruit zest and blood grapefruit especially initiate the tango with sweet oatmeal and a good handful of oat flakes. Right behind, there are a cocktail of peach, sharon, cantaloupe and mango, in unspeciafiable proportions. The palate is relatively soft and truly fruity, as well, but less soft than the scent. Strong grapefruit peel, accompanied by grapefruit pulp and lemon zest, gain a little bit of fresh-cut grass and some piney crispness. DDH is stepping to the limelight. Generally speaking, the tongue loves the fruity side of the taste: in addition to citruses, one can find at least dried apricot and faint sharon. Oat flakes still play an important role but the sweet oatmeal is wearing camouflage. Soft, tasty and attractive! The body is light-medium. The finish offers somewhat more bitter, more crisp spruce needles and hefty lemon peel, seasoned with a drop of resin, bags of oat flakes and some oat biscuit. DDH is now playing the lead violin. The aftertaste vanishes rather rapidly from the mouth. The mouthfeel is considerably soft and really smooth for most of the time. Crispness becomes present only in the finish. The mouthfeel is also rather juicy, a bit thick and significantly summery. This is probably the best Finnish NEIPA that I have sofar tasted. Literally "vh", that is "fg" in English. These guys obviously know where Vermont is. Good stuff!
