Raspberries and chocolate are both present in the aroma. There's a nice roasty coffee underneath that. Taste has raspberries first, front and center. Some chocolate follows. The coffee is more in the after taste at this point, but as this warms, we'll see how this evolves. A little bit of tartness to this one, but nothing too crazy. As this warms, I'm getting a much more pronounced coffee aroma. The raspberry is still there in the aroma, but isn't as prominent. Subtle chocolate. The taste now has a similar tart raspberry flavor, but it's definitely toned down some. The coffee is much more noticeable now. The chocolate is not very noticeable at this point, but it's still there to an extent and adds some depth to the flavor. Just the coffee alone in this one makes me more excited to one day try the base beer. Wake-n-bake is one of my wishlist beers. All things considered, I'm not the biggest fan of raspberries, but this is an enjoyable beer. Glad I tried it and can't wait to try the regular Wake-n-bake. 3.75/5
