Delicious beer...very dark, tar. Aroma to pine resin and coffee. Very remarkable bourbon taste. Hints of resins, moss, caramel and coffee. Very malty beer

Jet black Barrel Aged Imperial Stout with a fast fading foam head. Aged in Bourbon barrels and it shows in the aroma and the taste. Lighter than I expected but delicious aroma of roasted malts, coffee, chocolate and Bourbon. Full bodied and boozy. Smooth, roasted, warming and sweet. Espresso, dark cocoa, red berries with nutty and herbal undertones. Bourbon barrels lingering around from start to finish. Mellow bitterness for balance but it is not quite enough for the syrupy sweetness. Definitely a slow sipping dessert beer but the syrupy sweetness with molasses is too heavy for more ⭐️.

Taste has a nuttiness, bourbon, chocolate notes and rye spiciness. Some oak on the back end and aftertaste. Booziness is there, but not overwhelming so. A delicious stout that I'll pick up yearly to enjoy. 4.25/5
