Well, it's not often I'm glad a beer is linited release but here we are.
Summer is in full swing and I wanted something to go with that. After reading the description I thought it sounded perfect.
Part of there trail blazer series, this claims to be an isa done in a northeastern ipa style with pineapple and roasted coconut.
Indeed.
My nose gets a bit confused right off the go. It's a cross between a coconut biscuit and a tropical juice.
Pineapple, citrus, and a mild hops pine note fill the background, while the roasted coconut and bicuity malt act as a shield.
It is a lovely hazy orangey yellow color and has a nice small white head.
The tongue experiences a more easily decipherable drink than the nose.
Light citrus, grapefruit and pineapple spring forward with only mild bitterness and is almost watery but in a refreshing pleasant way.
A dryness ushers in, and lends itself to the roasted coconut. The aftertaste Is dry, with coconut and pine. Odd mixture. I did not care for the one I had yesterday but today Iike it a bit more perhaps the comment on being glad its limited is a bit harsh and unwarranted. Perhaps...
A little more pineapple and a bit of lactose would really kick this up to the next level.
