I love it when I'm the one who gets a gift on someone else's anniversary or birthday. Thank you Lighthouse for this treat.
Very cool label art, a gorgeous gold color, and a loose frothy white head satisfy the desire for visual satisfaction.
Aromatic excellence teases the nose and builds anticipation. Very classic scents with generous coriander, obvious orange and delightful Belgian yeast notes all served up with gently intriguing citrusy fruit hops.
As the drink is consumed patchy lacing occurs.
I'm enjoying a refreshing experience, a bright medium light bodied beer whith interesting flavour sensations. I'm getting all the classic witbier notes much the same as described above, and lovely hops additions of mild citrus and grassy notes. Very little bitterness. There is an odd moment where the hops and yeast and wheat dont quite mesh and suggest an astringent musty note but it never comes to pass and is enjoyable after all. Other than this tiny little stumble it is a decent brew.
