Guinness Foreign Extra Stout
7.5% Foreign Stout / Export Stout
First brewed by Guinness in 1801, FES was designed for export, and is more heavily hopped than Guinness Draught and Extra Stout, and typically has a higher alcohol content, which gives it a more bitter taste. The extra hops were intended as a natural preservative for the long journeys the beer would take by ship.

Been putting off trying this as not a fan of normal Guinness. Malty aroma, creamy mouthfeel as you'd expect malty taste with a nice bitter finish. Very smooth and easy drinking session ale. But hang on there riders, doesn't taste anywhere nearly as strong as expected. Very quaffable but hang on because of the abv. Can't be faulted at £1. 49 for a 330ml can, rude not to

Ei istunut omaan suuhun toisin kuin ennakkoon aattelin. Hieman liian voimakas jälkimaku joka peittää itse tuotteen maun.
