Guinness Foreign Extra Stout
7.5% Foreign Stout / Export Stout
First brewed by Guinness in 1801, FES was designed for export, and is more heavily hopped than Guinness Draught and Extra Stout, and typically has a higher alcohol content, which gives it a more bitter taste. The extra hops were intended as a natural preservative for the long journeys the beer would take by ship.

Quelle belle couleur noire, on dirait un grain de café. Sa mousse trÚs brune est fine et onctueuse. Super puissante en bouche, on a l'impression de mordre dans un grain café . Faut aimer les biÚres avec un goût trÚs prononcée.

a very dark appearance, foamy. the beer has a cereals aroma more akin to classic lagers. in taste, it's also cereals with a hint of bitterness from the coffee beans i think? the texture is very fluid, and leaves a dry feel in your mouth. not bad for a commercial one, but was still expecting better for the style
