Flight 4/6:
Lucid, deep amber beer with timid, hasty carbonation unlocks a thin, latte-colored, dense bubbleless head that adorns the top significantly long as a thinner lacing.
The fragrance is semistrong with a bit of caramel, some bitter malt, barley bread and a biscuity note of Digestives. There also lingers a nuance which took me quite long to specify what it is as it's rather unusual in Kölsch: raisin kissel.
The palate, in this case too, proves to be significantly fullers than the scent. Medium-caramelly malt, barley bread and strong biscuit gain a bit of strength from alcohol that grants a slightly unfortunately and unwanted chemical impression.
The body is medium-full. The aftertaste pushes on medium-strong malt with a recognizeable caramelly twist, bitter grainy aroma and a bit of fermented raisin. The aftertaste teases the tastebuds for a relatively long time.
The mouthfeel is reasonably strong, a bit tangy as well as slightly boozy which also makes the mouthfeel distantly chemical.
Not bad this one either!
