I have reviewed this barley wine in September six years ago here, with high points and recommendation. Let's taste again. This batch is best before Feb13th 2031. Black label is hard to edit to make golden, shiny text readable, but name is simply Barley Wine. Pours almost bright, brown beer tinted to ruby. Some foam only during pouring, then disappears. Scent is syrupy, to dried tropical fruits and spicies: clove, cinnamon, nutmeg. Taste is sweet and syrupy, to dates, dried figs and raisins, even licorice. Sticky mouthfeel. Nice barley wine for tasting.

Täähän on maultaan samantyylinen kuin belgialainen Pannepot. Se teki ennen ison vaikutuksen mutta nykyään tuntuu sellaiselta imelän makealta ja tasapainottomalta. Tää aika lailla korjaa ne ongelmat. Tiettyä kuivuutta löytyy myös. Ensimmäinen barley wine mitä tullut testattua ja meni lempijuomien listalle samantien. Upea juoma 👍 Jos lähiaikoina laittaisi sen rommitynnyrikypsytetyn version kokeiluun...

Tumma kokiksen värinen olut. Vaahto on hyvin kevyt. Tuoksu on maltainen ja kevyesti karamellinen. Maku on alkoholinen, makea, maltainen. Loppumaku on pitkä, terävästi humalainen.

Rusinaa, lämmintä syvää makua. Voltit tuovat hieman makeutta, joka ei mene överiksi. Hienostunut ja hieno olut.
