Side by side review with 2018 and 2019 releases.
2018: Chocolate is strong. Some lightly roasted malts beyond that. Taste has rich chocolate and lightly roasted malts.
2019: The roasted malts are much stronger than the 2018 version. Light chocolate as well. Taste has the roasted malts first, followed by a little bit of chocolate and a coffee like flavor.
Both have a medium-full body and an appropriately lower amount of carbonation, but the carbonation in the newer can is a slight bit more.
The older (original release) is definitely better. The original version was quite chocolatey, whereas the most recent release lacks the chocolatey-ness. Both are great, but I hope they tweak the recipe and get back to how it was originally. 4/5 for the most recent release, high 4.25/5 for the original release.

Aged in the cellar for about 9 months. Chocolate, lightly roasted malts, and maybe some dark fruits. Taste has chocolate, roasted malts and there are definitely hints of dark fruits. The chocolate somewhat milky and is almost powdered tasting. The 11% abv is hidden very well with just a little bit of booziness showing up. Body is full and very smooth on the tongue and carbonation is appropriately lower. Very tasty stout. Can't wait to try another down the road. 4.25/5

Chocolate and roasted malts in the taste. A tasty imperial stout. I might grab some more from the brewery. 4.25/5

Chocolate and vanilla are the two aromas I get. Same in the taste and this is just as smooth as I remember it being. As this warms, some coffee is starting to show up. Very well made stout. 4/5

Chocolate and caramel are strong in the aroma. Coffee lingering in there as well. Wow. This is smooth. Judging by the head, this might be a nitro pour. Chocolate is the standout in the taste. A little bit of coffee shows up next. This is a really good, very well done stout. Just checked, not a nitro pour. It's just that smooth. This is a winner. Honestly, this is a 4.5/5
