There was once a time when it was difficult to find a craft-brewed beer in the Highlands. Like the dolphins of the Moray Firth it was a question of being in the right place at the right time before you could catch sight of one. Happily this has changed with Moray’s burgeoning reputation as the food and drink capital of Scotland. Similarly, the Bottlenose dolphin colony has grown in this protected Highland environment to more than 190 at the last count. Bottlenose bitter is a classic Scottish bitter beer, slightly dark with a hint of malt and good hop balance. Like the dolphins in the Moray Firth it is a pleasure to behold, and once experienced rarely forgotten.
