As much as I enjoy weird new boundary pushing beers, I absolutely love classic styles brewed to perfection. I hope this is one of those.
It pours very attractively rich gold colour with a bright white foamy head. Moderate lacing occurs.
The aroma is of spicy yeast components and gentle malt undertones.
The mouth feel is heavenly soft and comforting.
Very agreeable malt flavors of mild bread and caramel give it a nice sweet foundation that is beautifully balanced by the spicy and to a much lesser extent fruity yeast contributions. Neither the malt yeast or hops are the predominant highlight, but all work so well together. If forced I would admit that it's the yeast that makes this what it is. Very good tripel. The alcohol though noticeable throughout, really sneaks up on you as it adds resonance to the spicy notes. I like it!
